Giggy- Complete

With all of this annoying snow I was able to finish Giggy. Surprisingly the hardest part was the flower on top of his head. The money earned from this commission will go towards paying off my beloved Kodi's medical bills.

I was able to get a little more of Giggy-Kitty done. As you can see, he has a pretty flower on his head. "He is very confident in his masculinty." Such a cutie.

Kodi Fundraiser Commissions

I have received 1 commission and 2 possible commissions [still working out the details] so far! It's so nice to see people that are willing to help others when a pet dies. It's such a hard thing and I am nowhere near over it. Everyday seems better but at the end of the day it still hurts. I have been checking out local shelters but I haven't found that one that screams "I'm your dog!" and we just click. It'll happen...soon I hope.

Also excited to get commissions for pastel because that is my new favorite medium. Hopefully tomorrow during my pet portrait class I'll get going on that work. Okay, rambling done :)

Kodi Fundraiser

Losing an animal is never easy. I feel like a part of my life has been removed. But I know it will get better every day but that doesn't help with the first few. Anyway...

As I'm sure many know how expensive medical bills can be. I hate the idea of asking for money so I tried to think of a way I can make it a little easier to pay off the bills but make it beneficial for everyone, as well as a way of remembering Kodi. So, I have decided to offer pastel pet portraits to those interested. All of the money earned will go directly to paying off Kodi's medical bills.

I am offering Pastel Pet Portraits. This offer will only be available until March 15, 2010

My baby Kodi

For those that are unaware I have a Carolina Dog named Kodi. He's 6 1/2 yrs. old. He is my bubby, my pal, my best friend, my baby....and we found out today he has cancer....I'm devastated....After crying for awhile I am now numb.
To anyone that actually reads my blog please keep in your thoughts and hope he pulls through this!
They are doing exploratory surgery on Thursday to see what is going on and cut it out. There is hope.
Hopefully working on some independent art projects will help.
Here are a few photos of my puppy face:

Due to some helpful advice and my own decision I have made a new website. It consolidates my pet portrait site along with a portfolio of all my work and various other things. Check it out! This will be my main site from now on.

Crystalline Pools

Finished! Only took about 12-14 hours over a span of 3 days. I'm really loving this piece. I'll probably frame it and hang it in my room. I'm going to let it sit and rest for a few days though and go back and make some slight tweaks on it.

Another WIP

I have been in a very artsy mood which is a good thing! I also seem to be in a wolf mood. I did recently donate to Wolf Defenders. Save the wolves! I started this one in my pet portrait class. I had only gotten the eyes done and was really enjoying it so I continued when I got home. Still have a lot of work. I want to continue on it tonight but I'm getting tired and I never work when I'm tired.

Old Sketches

I was cleaning out a sketchbook and found a couple of sketches I did maybe 2 years ago. They are pretty random but interesting
